Haba is a German toy company that has been making the highest quality children’s toys for more than 72 years.HABA USA division is located in Skaneateles, acquired with the purchase of Skaneateles Handicrafters, known for high-quality wooden trains and wooden blocks for kids.

Children love playing with Haba toys, blissfully unaware how this fosters their development.  That’s the stamp of approval the company appreciates the most, but it has also won virtually every German and American toy award.  

Their design intentions are simple, provide value and quality.  They have a uniquely playful design that uses characters and colors that, for the most part, are non-gender specific.  All of products are designed to grow with the child to ensure many years of family enjoyment.

HABA favors wood for most of its toys, as the beech and maple they use are regenerative, the natural markings make it unique, wooden toys flatter the hand, are ideal for children and inspires their designers to create little wonders. HABA is one of the only toy companies that uses PEFC certified wood - meaning all their wooden toys manufactured in Germany are made from reforested timbers.  They use safe, non-toxic, water-based lacquers on their products (not paints).  And they use recycled corrugated cardboard with as little foam packaging as possible.
