These lovable yet ferocious ornaments feature 100% local and organic merino wool from northern Rwanda. In fact, the wool comes from the artisan's own flocks of sheep! The sheep receive meticulous 24-hour care, so they are healthy and continue producing the best wool.

Deaf women in Rwanda who work with Handspun Hope make each and every sweet Dandy Lion ornament. This organization provides work (like creating these wool ornaments) to offer dignified, purposeful employment for them. As they receive above fair trade wages for their skilled work, they can provide for their families and live a better life.
