These sweet ornaments feature 100% local and organic merino wool from northern Rwanda; the wool is naturally hand-dyed using organic plant matter! In fact, the wool comes from the artisan's own flocks of sheep. Pretty cool, huh? The sheep receive meticulous 24-hour care, so they are healthy and continue producing the best wool.

Deaf women in Rwanda who work with Handspun Hope make each and every sweet Ollie Giraffe ornament. This organization provides work (like creating these wool ornaments) to offer dignified, purposeful employment for them. As they receive above fair trade wages, they can provide for their families and live a better life.
